Purpose:

The original purpose of this wiki was to provide a centralized location to store information about products with various types of distribution licenses on the Internet. One reason for such a wiki like this is when a product with illegal images gets distributed, then anybody who resells/redistributes that product could be in legal trouble.

The license agreement for many images that contain people do not normally allow for them to be included in product covers or templates that are to be redistributed. Some license agreements do allow it, but only if the author paid for an extended license. Other times the license agreement may allow it, but there has to be a copyright statement somewhere on the product that states where the image is from. Always check the license terms and conditions!

Site Usage:

• Use the search box to look for a product.
• If the product is not listed on this wiki, then login and create a page for it.
• Only post legitimate information about the product. Spamming or abuse of this wiki will result in your ip address being banned. Your ip address would then be visible for all other visitors to see as being banned.

Posting Template:

Note: Make sure to include AT LEAST all of the parts of the product as mentioned below. If you don't know an item then leave it blank, but keep the heading there so others can add it later.

Note: For all product types below other limitations may apply than what is mentioned, so always read the license terms that accompany the product! When in doubt consult with a legal professional.

Giveaway Rights: Generally, this means you are only allowed to giveaway the product. You cannot modify the product unless the author provides rebranding options.

Resale Rights: Allows you to resell the un-modified version of the product. You are not allowed to let the customers who buy it from your resell it.

Master Resale Rights: Same as Resale Rights, but also lets the customer resell it to their customers.

Private Label Rights: There are many different types of Private Label Rights, but generally it means you can do almost anything you want with the product (including modifying it).
